STEM Program Leader (Student Position)
The Penhold & District Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic, tech-savvy high school student to inspire the next generation of makers! If you love technology, enjoy working with kids, and want to gain leadership experience in a fun community environment, we want to hear from you.
The Role
As our STEM Program Leader, you will be the point person for our bi-monthly evening workshops. This is a hands-on role where you get to share your passion for science and technology with local youth.

Frequency: Two evenings per month.

Location: Penhold & District Public Library.

Focus: Leading interactive STEM activities with a primary focus on 3D printing projects.
Key Responsibilities

Lead 3D Printing Sessions: Guide participants through the basics of 3D modeling and printing, from initial design to the final build.

Facilitate Learning: Help children (various ages) explore STEM concepts in a way that is engaging, safe, and easy to understand.

Program Setup: Assist with preparing the workspace and ensuring technology is ready for use.

Inspire Curiosity: Act as a positive mentor for younger students interested in tech and engineering.
Qualifications

Current High School Student: You are currently enrolled in high school and looking for a local leadership opportunity.

Tech-Savvy: You have a solid understanding of 3D printing (modeling software and hardware).

Great with Kids: You are patient, friendly, and comfortable leading a group of children.

Reliable: You can commit to two evenings a month and arrive prepared to lead.
